Default Motonica kits

Who is the dist. for these kits, and what about parts?
Are they, or will the parts be readily availiable?
The cars look great, and I would very much consider one, but just need to inquire about support for the car.
I have the 2005 Evolva, and the XR8 right now. In you opinion, how does this new car stack up?
thanks

For $550 USD....make it 3.....the question is, how realiztic is this car only cost $550..? I think $550 is only "PART" of the car...may be the front, may be the rear....
Reminding me about that alum SMP Slide.........

Exactly like I said, $550 is the front half or the rear half, your choice....
$1000.............again, for even $600, I will buy one just for collection.

SMP runs around $850.00. This Motonica car price is way way off base. Pretty ballsy on their part. No way these kits are gonna sell. 1/8 scale prices have been dropping to stir interest again. Look at Serpent, Mugen, and Kyosho. The three main heavy hitters in the industry keeping prices with-in reason. For Motonica to introduce a brand new car with slightly different design (all cars basically have the same design to an extent) for $1,000.00 is terrible. Marketing deptartment at this company should be fired. Get drivers, sell kits, win races, then jack the cost. Not reverse. $550.00 or $600.00 for kit - sold for me... Not $1,000.00 But I still love the car and think it looks great... really want one... for the right price..

It is hard to figure out the reason behind that $1000....the car (material) does tell me I cannot get it for less then $1000...but the concept behind the company maybe different, they might want to see the market/race respond and release a more race/price friendly version with more plastic and carbon fiber instead of alum and stuff..........again, this car will not be big unless it reach the $550 mark (in USA)....

Of course, it might be a different story over Europe.....I can never afford a Ferrari, but does not mean Ferrari cannot sell (all F430 were sold with hugh back order...)

I see alot of carbon fiber and plastic on this car. Ferrari does sell all the cars.. But that is comparing apples to oranges. Ferrari is long in tradition and race proven... Michael took second today... The car has to come down in order to sell well... If this car has so much new technology and design it will eventually be copied by one if not all of the big three... Lets bring the price down border rc...

But my point is....if this car ended up "KILLING" all the big time races hands down............$1000 for those who goes for the best and fastest is NOT a problem....just like ppl buying Ferrari. Money is no object for those who can afford....

And I don't think Border RC can bring down the price....they don't make the car, they sells them....

I am curious to know what wholesale cost on this car is... Then we can really see how far down the price can be reduced. My point is being....

Lets say Saturn (GM) decides to build a super car that is faster and handles better then any Ferrari.... Ferrari owners would not sell their cars to buy it... For many reasons... Time has proven them more valuable. Ferrari owner's will stick with what they have and know. Only a few would venture off to buy.. Unless you have stupid money and a huge car collection... Thats what we a dealing with in this situation. The majority of the 1/8 scale customers are buying Serpent, Kyosho, and Mugen... Now this new company that no one has ever heard of "Fastom" designs and builds a car and sells for more then the top three... It just don't make sense. Even more then the SMP Slide... at least that car is full metal and is a nice piece of craftsmenship.. SMP never set out to sell more then the top three. Maybe they just want to sell to select few like SMP.. I don't know... I am still in limbo about which 1/8 scale to buy.. Oh.. and the $1,000.00 price tag... is limited time... introduction price..
