thats pretty cool, cant believe i ranked that high considering in 2003 i only went to the carpet nats (my first big race) and only made the main in 12th stock , and 2004 i only went to the carpet nats (BQ in both TC and 12th *doh*) and snowbirds where i ran modified. do one for results across all the stock classes, carpet and asphalt.

also do one for modified foam for the same races. i wanna see who was more dominant, blackstock through 03-04 or lemieux thorugh 05-06...

yes, I can verify that.....I built the motor and had to write the bonus check afterwards....:P

Whats funny about the list though, is that Peter has only gone to the Novak race ONCE....cleveland only twice.....cuffs missed a lot of those too, as did trav....Brad gets the nod, cause he rarely misses a race.....quanity over quality....not that Brad is a slouch or anything....

Yeah, I mean look at Schreff...I can only remember him going to snowbirds over that time frame...I could be wrong but that's what I remember. And I dont think that anyone could argue, a couple years ago Cuffs dominated...then it was Dayger....I havent been completely up on this season so I don't wanna say who is the best now

So it would be safe to assume 1 of 2 things.

#1 the top 3 guys raced all the races
#2 they finished nicely in the races they went to

It would be cool to see how many races each of the top #25 guys had attended from 2003 to 2007 ( carpet races only ) so then you could really see if it was quality or quantity.

I just dont get some of you guys are defending yourself by saying ,,,, well i havent raced as long as others or havent been to all the races. You guys are taking this whole to the wrong way. All he did was find out what everyone has been talking about.

But the real answer would should be found within the average points per race attended..... this is the real answer to who has been the best. Because then there are no excuses..... the more races you would have attended the lower you score ***might*** be.

Mcsmooth if you have any intrest tallying up how many races each of the top 25 guys attended that would really be cool to see.

Mr. Smooth,

Could you also include in your analysis, the ratio of driver stand height to performance and how that also correlates with how tall each driver is? This means you will also have to determine which drivers stood on step stools during the mains, and you can add the height of the stool used to the driver's height.

Thank you sir.

Yikes...I forgot about this thread.

As for figuring out all races attended...that's tough as for several of the races I was only able to find A Main results. If they were at the race but in a lower main, there's no record of it (2005 ROAR Carpet Nats, for instance). Of course, that might be good is some cases

Next week I'll see if I can get enough data to do a Modified class one, and then throw in some asphalt results too. Asphalt isn't too tough, since there's only a couple really big National events each year.

JKA: I'll put all the drivers stand and height data into the Batcomputer and let it compile over the weekend. Maybe I'll invent an adjustable height drivers stand so everyone's eyes are at the same elevation. Hmmmm.....
