I have (2) eve 5's for sale. Not posted anywhere. Email me your email address. And I will send pics ASAP. A friend from the Seattle is interested I think in only one. Both kits are nearly flawless. I'm selling one for a friend. He raced it 2 years ago. Only (1) time at the KO race.

We have a local guy running a 416 in VTA and a 417 in sedan and breaks almost weekly and he is a very good driver. (since swapped to XRay c-hubs I think). How do the EVO Suspension pieces compare to these cars durability wise? Are the arms and c-hubs the same on the EVO V and 417?
I currently run a CEFEX EVO chassis with 417 suspension arms, hubs, shocks etc and I have yet to break anything in the last year of VTA racing (except for the body LOL). Maybe I have just been lucky. Would love to try a EVO V in VTA if I won't be breaking parts each week. Any thoughts?

Congrats! I always thought the shaft driven EVO V would make for an awesome VTA car but I was steered away as others told me they were fragile, almost glass like in rearguards to gears and suspension pieces. What has been your experiences with part breakage?

i using the TB03 Rspec gear diff and tamiya spool in the front...
On the car I have the graphite arms front & rear and & graphite rear hub..plastic C hub and steering knuckle... next weekend I'm going to use full complete graphite suspension parts...reason for this is the want the car to react a little quicker instead of laziness.
Here the video of our track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRrjk...layer_embedded
This video is no timing 17.5 stock..my buddy won this races...

I've recently picked up an Evo V and plan to develop it over the coming months for racing next year. The car is a real work of art, looks amazing and fantastic Tamiya quality.
What spool are you using in the front? Looks like it has delrin outdrives which is what I'm looking for; my current ones are steel which just wear the driveshaft pins out.
And what size driveshafts are you using in the rear? Mine came with 42mm and it looks like the gear diff outdrives will need some machining to run 44mm ones (should be easy enough as I have a milling machine).
