Default Xray T1FK05 setup tips and hop ups

Hi,

so, I have the following:

XRay T1FK05
17x2 Nosram Vision motor
Ko Propo VFS 1 (I have the Corally MMS3, which is the same I think)
Hitec HS311 servo
Futaba PCM1024
Futaba 3PK

So, questions:
1) How should I set up the belts in my car? Tight or loose?
2) What hop ups should I get? (not car only, but whole setup)

I was thinking of getting a battery bar first. Then the Hudy spring steel wheel axles. Next, alu hubs... or should I invest in a servo?

I'll be getting the Futaba 2.4GHz system when it comes out.

TIA

i used to set up the belts on my car like it told you too on the front, and one notch looser on the back, and this worked great, car was very free. as far as hop ups go, you dont need many really, the spring steel front axles are a must really, i also got a wide top deck for carpet racing (foam), but really there isnt much else to do to the car. id spend your money on better equipment, as this is much more likely to make a difference to your performance.

with the speed and response you'll have from the cara nd motor combination, a higher end servo may help...

I've been using a Futaba 9350 and it has worked out nicely...fast..but not crazy..

I'll be moving to the new KO low profile servo (2413) once it is released. I've been running KO servos in all of my other cars for quite some time now and they have performed exceptionally well..

As ChrisP said, a faster servo would be a good idea. The only hopups I have on my car are the lowered front shock tower for carpet racing, spring steel hex hubs for the front and a P-Dub front bumper. The only other thing that I can think of getting for this car are aluminum rear uprights, the plastic ones can strip out from time to time if your not careful, but other then that your set to go...

Some cases it's better to strip the plastic hubs rather then bending the alum.ones.
If you stay with the plastic ones, remember when you change the role center by adding spacers under the links,to change to a longer screw. This will help prevent the hub from stripping out.

I was thinking about the FUTABA S9351 servo... is it good? Also, what body should I get? I like the look of the Protoform Nemesis the most, but what performs the best? I'm going to be racing on asphalt

For asphalt racing I would reccommend the Protoform Mazda 6.

Yeah get the Mazda. The battery brace is really nice. It makes battery changes really convenient. You really need the axels as the stock ones get all deformed when you hit things and you need to dremel them to bits to get them out to change knuckles or bearings. Build the shocks with AE 35 weight oil not the kit stuff it's to stiff.

i think you better not use FUTABA 9351 servo.. becouse it useless.. on onroad spcly electric.. you don't need hi torque servo. maybe u can use fubaba 9451 or 9551 servo... or if you want more speed..u can use KO PDS 2366.. i already try it.. and it very nice...

What about the KO PROPO PDS-2413 ICS? I like it because it is low profile... is it good?
