Hey all --

Just drove through Camarillo and got some pics of the layout with my phone. The dirt is FULL of rocks and pebbles..I hope these are groomed out as best as they could be. The back "straight" is also VERY small and wondered if they could use the back smooth part of the dirt oval instead....weather today was about 86...then when I got home...102....I think we should be fine weather wise...

Judi- See ya there with some actual "nutfluff's" and some dead presidents for the magical purse items we spoke of!!! I'm club racing SoCal Fri!! Anyone else??

And Keith - I want more batts! Think you could pull some off for Sunday...shoot me an [email protected]

That's just a sign to tell people the track is closed. This is on public property so they do their best to keep people off.

Seriously, it's like the track is all rocks. The only thing that is interesting is the triple and table in front of the drivers stand. The triple is small and looks easily made in stock....

It shall be interesting....

The triple looks small from the pictures but the question will be if it has a good take off face. It may be harder then it looks if the car gets thrown around. This is what is neat about the JBRL. You are forced to win on all kinds of surfaces. Not every track is like HRH for a big race and blue groove. We have rocky Camarillo, fluffy Rev and the Dirt. We have blue groove HRH and Racers haven and indoor So cal. The winner will have to take them all on and be consistant!

No...the face is terrible.

I watched them build it, and the entire face is rutted and makes for an awkward launch. When they were done, the let me have a few laps with my T4. I was struggling for traction, I could clear the jump, I just didn't know what direction my car was going to go after launching.

Yes the dirt is very loose, with lots and lots of rocks. The track is not packed either, but the conditions should improve after some qualifiers.

Yeah..the face is hurting and not very big...but it does come off a sweeper not a 180 so getting speed for the jump won't be a problem....it's just how you handle the car once it's in the air....last year I did practice on Sat and had no traction but come race day and the water...something will work!

Hey Nutfluff!! The magic purse will produce the promised items

for the dead presidents!!

After seeing the track pictures, Scott says " sorry" in advance for the

hacking that he's sure to do in his return to racing, and the track

conditions are his excuse!

WOW! Banzai is going to be there in force!!

Great to see Jeremy is representing.... I wish I could have gone up for this race, as I grew up in Washington and most likely know all the locals. Chris White has been racing for ever, he was fast when I was up there.

Judi--Just think, for this Nationals, you don't have to leave the track once the mains start since it's up North.... We all know how nervous you get when the A-Mains start...

Nutfluff--Check your e-mail I sent it under a different address, [email protected] I hope I can help you out!

See you guys on Sunday morning bright and early.....

Track update: The pebbles are gone and Jared Graf and some people are going to work on the jumps and make them better, especially the triple. Tires should be bigshots, X-2000s, and holeshots, 02s and 05s.
