Thanks Casper, I know you'll help. Oh, by the way, I have a buggy too.
You too Keith.
Yeah, Judi said she'd wrench on my stuff, but I told her that was OK.
She can just sit there and look important.
Jeremy: Good luck at the Nats and I'll do the best I can to stay on the track and mess with the points.
See you in Camarillo.

Look out Scott-- You are starting to use too many smiley faces. You are becoming assimilated to this on-line chat room stuff!
A buggy and a truck! That is 8 shocks that need to be rebuilt!
We will get er done. I can hardly wait.
Good luck to all those who will be at the Stock Nats. Wish I could do that race at least once. We will have to see about getting that on the schedule here one of these years.
I think Judi does a great job of looking important at the races! It is a lot of work to carry around that magic purse and pull all that great stuff out on command!

We have been asked this question a lot lately, and now that there
are issues on other threads that are spilling over, we decided to address
them now.
We are not a fly-by-night company, we have been in business for 10 years.
I believe that makes us and Pro Match the longest original owners of R/C
companies in this section, could be wrong, but I don't think so. We have
NEVER had any one else wind our motors.
EVERY mod motor is hand-wound by Jason or Scott. They worked for another
well known company that is no longer in business before we started Banzai.
That company wound motors for almost every company I can think of that
was in business at the time, and some that still are. We buy tear-down
motors, by the case, which
is 100 per case, and wind every armature, including the new CheckPoint
tear-downs. We do NOT buy from other companies or third parties,we deal
direct with
Trinity, CheckPoint, and Reedy.
Most of the California guys have been here and seen this for themselves.
Charlie Barnes has been with us since the beginning. Casper recently came
to visit, and saw all the armatures at their various stages. I hope this will
clear up any confusion, but if any of you have any questions, please
feel free to ask.

I am hoping to clear up as many questions as I can here, so hopefully it
will cut down on the e-mail questions and phone questions.
We do not have a store on our site. We prefer to talk to our customers
or communicate through e-mails. We have NEVER sold a product that wasn't
here ready to be built. It takes about 2 months in business to realize that
the vendors we deal with rarely get products in on schedule. Be it problems
in Japan, or whatever. So, you learn to order ahead, and at times, wait.
But we never take your money until we are ready to build and ship your
products. Some day in the future we may decide to have an online store, but
because Banzai never shuts down for any reason, we like to have contact
with our customers and stores.

Ok, my last section on these issues!!
We buy stock motors and 19 turn machine wound motors, also by the case.
Direct from Trinity, and other Mfg.'s. Most of these motors come with drill
holes
already in them from the factory. Maybe a couple out of a 100 will not have
any holes. We re-balance them when we can without ruining the structural
integrity of the armature laminations. Because the best balancer in the
business costs $15,000, most "tuners" do not own one. Usually only
companies that make their own mods have them. And that's why we do!
It has not been our intention to criticize or disagree with any other company,
but when these issues come up, and cause our business to be questioned,
we need to respond. I hope you all understand.

Well said Judi.
What's going on? I've been without the internet for awhile and just got back on here and haven't been able to catch up on my reading yet. Can you send me an email and change your email address for me to [email protected]. my old address doesn't work anymore. My computer is locked up in storage right now and I don't have anyone's email addresses right now. Thx.
Brian.

All this goes to show you why Banzai is the best!
I recently saw how motors are built. The setup Banzai has is pretty impressive. These motors are HAND wound. They use a hand crank to control how the wire goes on the arm. You cannot get any more "HAND" wound then this. The process they go through is very time consuming and meticulous. They have all the right equipement to do things right on site so once they get the blank arms and cans from the vendor they control every other process in hand building the motors. They control everything from how and what wire goes on the motors to the WELDED tabs (one of the last if not the last to weld the winds to the tabs! Take more time and speical equipment but is the best way to do it!) to the hand dipped epoxy. The motors are then balanced on a custom armature balancing machine. Others talk the talk but Banzai is invested in this and has the right equipement to ensure the job is done right. It is this type of control and attention to detail that really sets Banzai apart. This is why the are the best out there! 10 years in this buisness and still growing is not a something you happen upon. In this industry if you are not on top of you game 100% of the time you can fall off the map really quick. There are many other motor companies out there but there are very few that truely take the time and have the know how of Banzai motors.
This is not advertising but spreading the word on what is going on here. Banzai is in this for the long haul and not around just to make a quick buck while hand picking there personal stock motor out of a flat of motors bought on the grey market. They buy direct and sell you the customer the same stuff they give their team guys. Others advertise this but Banzai follows through. Look at the results from the Shootout. 5 out of 10 motors in exp stk truck run Banzai motors. 2 of them bought their motors off the shelf at the race so they were not left in the dust! Those who have a choice know where to go for reliable fast motors.
The best part of all is there customer service. Judi and Scott are two of the nicest people I have meet in the hobby. They truly stand behind there product and do what they can to make sure you get what you expect.

i can vouch that they have a whole house full of stuff. and i saw the room where everything comes together. judi could probably tell you more things about motors than some pro racers. even that being said there are incredible people! scott and i pit next to each other before i kew who he was and he selflessly just helped me with my motors to get me going as fast as i could. since then i have been hooked to the banzai family. this is a great company and its fair to say there isn't another one like them. keep up the good work and see you guys in camarillo!!!!!

Did I miss something here.... Is there even a question about whether Banzai is legit??? Just try getting the quality, customer service and positive outlook from any other motor company out there. I speak from experience when I say, you can't please everyone! Well, Judi and Scott come damn near close to it!
See you guys this weekend!!!
Jeremy--Good luck this weekend! Show them what Slingshot/Banzai power is all about......

To anyone questioning Banzai,
I have been sponsoroed by Judi and Scott for 3 years now, or close. I have gotten several motors from them and have never had any trouble with them. I have not been lacking power to keep up with other tuners motors either. Because of the time spent on each motor they sell I have not had one failure due to a bad product, which I am very happy about. I have burned up a couple, but that was my fault.... Generally I remain fairly quiet on this thread because I am one of the few on-road guys that run their products because they have been very involved with the off-road scene. Personally I think they have one of the best products out there, which is the main reason I have not even thought of leaving. Plus I really like to know the company I am representing.
With that said. whew.... Last weekend I ran one of the CO27 motors in 1/12th. I didn't TQ, but I ended up winning. I had a little more pull towards the end of the race and made up the time. Thanks again Judi!
