Yeah Ryan and I put 2 laps on the int field in qualifing 
I think I would have taken Ryan but I hung a brush. I was able to work my way back into 2nd though even with the 56 sec lap! I did get TQ with a 12 lap run. This track is a little faster then the last one.

Track is fun. not as techical as the last one. It is a little easier to get around fast. The layout is fun though. It was nice and smooth last night so as long as someone does not go jumping around on the track today it should be great for tomorrow. Hopefully the track will firm up a little since it was still a little soft but I think it will be perfect for you guys. There has been a great Friday turnout lately so there should be some good racing. We even had 5 heats on Wed night!

Qual points, huh?! I know I'm the only one on the
planet that hates them!
But you guys know what that means, for 3 days I
will be asking Scott and Casper, and anyone else
who will listen, to either explain it to me again, or
the constant question, " are you in the A? " Or,
who's where?????
And then of course, I'll do my
usual rant of how I hate qual points, and Scott will make
me sit in the car until I have an attitude adjustment!!
And I just remembered, we'll all be staying in the same motel,
so I can run room to room asking the same old dumb questions!
But that's ok, since it's me against the world!!
Was that pathetic enough?????

I will have to write down the qual points rules for you. I will then stick it on a card you can carry in your magic purse! 
I like and dislike qual points. I like them because you have to be consistant and fast to make the show. I do not like them beacause you can have 3-4 top 10 rounds and not make the main! (Keith )
I do think it is more fair. Rocket round there is always a guy who gets in or steals the TQ with a fast round where traffic parts and the stars align. The other issue with Cactus is like I explained before the track was 10-20 seconds faster in the middle of the day so you needed to lay down your fast run then. Qual points take track conditions out of qualifying which I like.
I will help explain it as many times as needed Mom!

So Casper had to bring it up again..... What does 3 out of 4 top 10 rounds at The Reedy Truck Race get you??? BQ....... 
And what does driving a flawless race in the "B" main only to have a brain fart on the last corner and go a little wide??? It gets you second place by a thousandth of a second....... 
What does having your transponder mounted an 1/16th of an inch further back than your competition??? See above for answer.... I think I like "Q" points though, ask me once qualifying is over with at The Cactus.....

Oh lets not go there! I still need to write up qual points. I haven't had a chance to figure out all the new NASCAR rules for this year. They are still changing them!!! Today the limited the champions provisional to only 6 races a year PER TEAM! Those guys change the rules far too much.
At least RC qual points have been the same for years. The only difference is how they do the tie breaker. Is it combine time or throwout, or best time etc.
Sorry Keith. Did not mean to make an example out of you. If it makes you feel better I have done the same thing! You are just good at it. Twice in one event being BQ right?
