Interesting. I knew there were going be a few changes this year. Some I have heard I like but others are fluff. Looking forward to see what is in store for this year. '07 looks to be an interesting year already and it had not even started!

Mom-- I am a tech master now! Took me forever but I made it! This is the 3rd site I have over 1000 posts. I think I spend too much time on the internet. I think I should get something done at work today to celebrate!

The Jan 07 edition of Car Action on page 195 mentions the 06 JBRL series and the final race at Hot Rods. Nothing special but a VERY small mention. I see Casper took first in two classes..... err wait, I read that already back in October.
Better late than never I guess

Yeah it is kind of sad to have a series that big and that well run with over 200 entries ave per event only get a blurp. Oh well. We vented over this a while ago! This series has not recieved the publicity it deserves even though RC Car is supposed to be a series sponser!

I bought that issues just for that clip These mags are getting expensive!

Casper - Ever since I seen that battery pack go up I have been concerned about the storage of my pack. I heard it was just sitting in the case when it went off. How should I be storing my battery packs? Currently I just store them after a 5 minute run and discharge when I use them again. Should I discharge after use and put a little charge in them rather than what I am doing now.

No problem. Nice job again. I don't know what part of Arizona you're in, but if you're near Tempe, drop by the "Heart Attack Grill" and try one of their By-pass burgers. I heard about it on the radio. Their supposed to have hottie nurses on staff in case there's a problem.

He was charging it in the case which is a no no. I have used those types of battery boxes in the past with no issues. He claims the batteries touched in the case and shorted. Not sure of that. I am thinking the case foam acted as a blanket and the batteries over heated. Then a possible bad solder joint which could have covered up the vents around the positive button and kaboom. The slingshot battery boxes work great. Put all the batteries in the same way so the end battery bar tabs cannot touch and you should be fine. I always run my batteries for 6-7 min a time and then put them in the case. The latest 3600+mah batteries self discharge pretty hard so you always want to store them with some charge on them. Discharge them just prior to charging.

See what happens when Mr. Banzai posts!!! He just thinks

that "Heart Attack Grill" is hilarious!! Must admit, it was pretty

funny when I saw it on T.V. Bet the guy that owns the place

is making a fortune!! How come none of you guys thought

of it!!!!!

Yes, we "vented" over the magazines before! But really, that's the

reason I don't get any of them any more!!

I don't think there will be much racing until after the holidays.

I miss seeing everyone already!!

Erik, package in the mail to you today, and Ebi yours is off to Germany!

Lots went out today, so I hope everyone enjoys for Christmas!!

Thanks for the update. That was fast

I wanted one of the CP based motors, but my mom likes to limit presents to around $50 (she doesnt count shipping). Its all good though. If its Banzai, it will be good!

Erik, you should have had your mom call me!! I'm pretty

good at explaining things to moms and dads!!

But it's the same quality armature, just a different can.

I told you guys we are working "double" time to make

sure everybody gets their motors for Christmas!!

This is kind of neat, I also had a couple kids call and want to

know if the Anniversary specials will still be going on after

Christmas, they're waiting for their Christmas money!!

Yes, they'll be there, and we'll be adding more to them!!

be running for Team Checkpoint next year. Signed to

a multi-year contract!

I can't remember, who did he run for before??

Was it Orion????
