What class are you running?

IMO,

- the Mazda 6 is a great rubber tire on carpet body ...
- the Parma Alfa is great foam tire on carpet body ... especially stock
- Both work well in mod ... with the 6 having a little more downforce

I don't think the Protoform Alpha exists anymore.

on foam - protoform G6 or the popular parma alfa
on rubber- the Mazda 6 (has won more races than i can count) or the AP stratus 3.0 (both are protoform)

I don't think the protoform alfa is legal for roar competition anymore, but if that doesn't matter in your case who cares. Both alfas are good on foam tire/carpet racing. I like the Parma better however, and would much rather get used to a body that I can continue to get. Nothing wrong with Protoform bodies either. Dale is a great guy and makes awesome products.

The Parma Alfa is BY FAR the best foam tire carpet body. The G6 is decent but the Parma feels better balanced.

Like Peter said, on asphalt it's Mazda 6 or Stratus 3.0 AP all the way.

As a lot of people have already said, the Parma Alfa is awesome on carpet with foam tires. The Protoform G6 is good, but I prefer the balance of the Parma alfa. It seems to carry more speed in the middle of the corner for me.

On Rubber tires the Protoform Mazda 6 is where I will always start. The Stratus 3.0 AP is good, and has a ton of downforce. I've heard good things about the Ride TSX and the Stratus MKII and MKIII they produce as well.

The Parma body handles well. But the quality of the Parma just down right sucks. For quality of lexan and window mask that actually match the window lines then the Protoform wins by a land slide.

I have ran the Protoform alpha and it seems to not be as loose in the rear as the Parma. I have a couple of these still myself and just have not had time to paint them up.

yeah i noticed that the proto is better in apperance alot more. I love how it snugs the wheel nicly but i cant figure out how that big lip does not make more front bite then the parmas alfa? I think im sold on protoform for its nice look. But if i ever go to a biger race ill be on a parma. who else makes good bodies besides the named

I would say the Protoform. I have ran both on foams. The Parma seems to have much more steering from the rear of the car than the Protoform.

Hey Guys,

We just came out with this new 200mm body. http://www.the-rc-zone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8637

We are trying to make a better handling nitro body as well as a 190mm rubber tire body. Our plan is to convert this body into a 190mm and see how it works for rubber tires. If we get it done in time it should be legal for the On Road nats. The new 200mm body that we just did comes with sweet headlights and grill stickers as well as window masks that fit the windows perfectly. The window masks also have a outline cut into them so you can have an outline painted into the window without having to mask it yourself.

As far as the Alpha, we now have a new art guy that is doing our stuff so the masks and stickers will be updated to fit better and have a nicer look like our new 200mm body.

Thanks for the comments.

Will your quality of lexan get better? I have painted Alpha's where the sides were 2 different thickness. And this is just not one body. Every one I paint is this way. Your 1/12 lexan could be better also.

The new body looks good.
