Reedy's motor manufacturer (Yokomo/Sagami) said they couldn't (or wouldn't) make it.

This is not about a BL motor. This is about the Reedy brushed stock motor that was designed 2 years ago but was never produced.

A very legitimate observation (it's 4/2 as I write this, so no funny business)...

The motor Big Jim was working on for Reedy was code named "cobalt"...
There were some pictures on Jim's forum of what he called a "stepped lamination" armature...:

http://www.rccars.com/forums/attachm...=&postid=21774

Then Jim got dumped by Reedy, went back to Trinity, and guess what -- they bring out a COBALT stock motor, with an armature that uses a highly simplified version of the stepped lamination armature... Big Jim's prototype actually had multiple steps in reduced diameter of the laminations -- the Trinity CO27 simply has two steps -- full height, and then center-web/top-of-the wire level in the center...

Coincidence -- I think NOT...

They couldn't or wouldn't make it so Reedy gives up on stockers all together?
