The new car is more than 80% different. If I had to place a percentage I would say 95% different. Also the parts that are the same are made out of a stronger material. I have seen all the photos and trust me it is going to be cool and different. And before you ask, no I can not show any of the photos. All I can say is I am excited for the new car also. If I had to guess I would say it will be out in the middle of the year or around the 3rd quarter of 2009
As far as the 09' kit and the changes I am not sure. I have not been involved in that and am not sure. I was also told it is something with the rear, however not sure if there is anything different with the actual geometry. We will have to see.

We have info about the sedan. The 720 for next season is going to be called 720 '09. Will include all the same features of the '08 plus:
LCG Chassis
Hard Steering blocks: made with new material and now the problem of popping off is solved)
Spring Steel front CVD's
The official release is not set yet. We do have some kits in stock in USA with all this features included that we will start selling from next Monday. Limited availability until we get the 720'09 shipment.
Regarding the rumors about rear end parts, specifically lower arm and uprigth, yes there is something in the works but is not ready yet. Is going to be available later as a spare/optional.

1) Serpent sedan car for the 2009 season is the Serpent 720'09. Is the same platform since June 2006, with improvements, better materials and more optionals included in the kit. So it's stronger, faster and you get more value for you money. THIS IS THE CAR FOR 2009
2) There is a complete new platform in the works. Code name 7XX. As DJ already comment, is at least 90% different. It is on CAD stage now and soon will start the track tests with some protos. The release date is not set, but for sure not before 3rd quarter. Michael Salven is the head designer for this project. Also, many others are involved in the design for specific tasks. From USA, Billy Easton, DJ Apolaro and Paolo Morganti are heavy involved.
This is all we can say for the moment, please don't ask for more, we are not allowed to disclose any more info.

Hopefully we can take back a whole bunch of racers that we lost to that pesky X-ray ( shit ). U know the funny thing guys, my fiance just bought me a kyosho v-1rrr evo 2 wc, engine 353, pipe 2630, 2 servos bls futaba 451 and guess what i`m gonna be selling the kyosho for the SERPENT, and getting rid of that crappy x-ray. I`m coming back home guys, coming back home..............
