Default Selecting ESC

I've been out of the loop for almost a decade and could use some help.
I have an rs4 rally, I need to select an ESC. I would like to have a reverse optioned one. I was looking at the Novak XRS Reversible Sport, and it's in my price range (I really don't want to spend a lot of money as I don't use the thing a whole lot). Would this work? I notice no heat fins.. would that be a problem with the inner body the rally has? I notice the motor limit is 15turn, I never know I wouldnt mind plopping in a 12 or so one day so that worries me.

I'm not sure what all companies and/or models are decent nowadays and could use some help. Thanks.

Novak make very good ESC's. You will have no choice but to spend a little more if you are wanting to use a 12t motor. Most standard reversiable esc's can only use 14-15t up motors. If you want one to power a 12t and still have reverse I will recommend Associated A.I. Automatic Pro Reverse ESC. It can take 11t up motors. Check it out below.

THAT SPEEDO SUCKS!!!!!!!

Burnt it out with a 17T running 7 degrees of timing. Sucks... RCCA had a similar problem. The thermal overload protection kicks on if the wind blows to hard, and Novak doesn't warrantee the ESC if you change the wires. It does have solderable wire tabs, but you aren't allowed to use them.... thanks Novak!
