I just bought a used TC5R. It came with alot of extra parts, including several caster blocks. The blocks are all brand new , but are not marked. Is there anyway to identify them ( 2degree, 4degree,)? I can figure out if there left or right, but that dosen't help much.
Thanks
Jim

Thanks I'll take alook when I get home. Not sure how I'll identify if there hard or soft, the blocks are all loose.

I don't have any 4 Degree caster blocks, can I run 2 degree and 2 degrees of kickup and have the same setup?
Thanks

Yes and No
You'll have 4 degrees of caster going down the straight, but the kickup will encourage the front of the car to dive more under braking. The car may get a little tail-happy on corner entry. If you tend to push on corner entry, you might just gain some better balance.

In that case would I be better off using 6 degree blocks and no kickup.

Depends
If it were my car, I'd drive it the way it is to see how it handles and go from there. If it's twitchy in the rear under braking, try less kickup and see how that changes things. If it's stable under braking to the point of understeer, try more kickup. The kit setup -- 0 kickup 4° caster -- is pretty neutral.

Thanks jhberger
Sense I don't have the 4 degree blocks I'll try the 2 and 2 setup. What have I got to lose. I've been driving a FTTC4 and this week will be my 1st with the TC5.

Either way you should find the 5 nicer and better to drive then the 4, I went from a FTTC4 to a TC5 as well.

The Integy knuckles have less bearing play and more steering geometry, BUT the Integy C hubs are a waste, a ton of play and they bend when hit. With the factory plastic C hubs the plastic either breaks or they return to there original position. Go with the Integy knuckles and factory C hubs, you won't be sorry.
all are ready..........soon video-suicides-crashes ??? ???
