There is always a limit to the number of total teeth (spur + pinion) a given chassis can accomodate, so big-big gets limited sometimes. You can also get to a point where small-small might be limited too.

Can you recommend a brand that will fit the screw pattern. Also, you are saying the 80 would work best. What would be the smallest spur that can be purchased that will fit the pattern and would that be recommended? I have 33-34-35-36-37 64p pinions so an 80 spur will get me in the range I need to be, 4.32-4.71.

I think pretty much any of the non-Xray specific spurs from RW, Kimbrough, Robinson, Precision, etc will work.
You'll have to point me to where I said that. What I said was that I don't believe there IS such a thing as an 80t 64p spur. I know RW makes a 78t which would probably do the trick.
Actually, I just checked and PRS DOES (supposedly, their smaller spurs are like hen's teeth) list a 80t. Both it and their 76t are backordered though Stormer has their 84t in stock which would probably work with your pinions to get a pretty similar range.

Ok I have a serious issue. I have never raced onroad and have no idea about setups. I just purchased a tc5r and dont know what setup to run on the car. I am going to run in a 17.5 class and the track is about 9 second laps, and in a parking lot. I am looking for a good setup, and gearing as well. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

For whatever reason, Corally have different websites for US and international. I don't know if it makes a difference or not but you might double check that. That's all I can think of.

I would say, stick with a 64p 100t spur for the TC5F. Keeping it at 100 gives you a wide variety of pinions to work with, say 42 thru the 55 range, or even above. I'm pretty sure that most of the top drivers stay with 100 also. I have gone down to a 96t spur, but the range of pinions you can use decreases as the spur decreases. 100t is a great "medium".

That's what I use is the 100/64p, I can run either motors 10.5-13.5-17.5 and just change the pinions like Mr.Bubby said.
