as one who runs alot of 1/12th scale but is new to sedans and especially to the TC5, I would very much appreciate gear ratio suggestions to get me somewhere in the ballpark with this new TC5. I plan to run the car mostly on carpet with rubber tires, lipo battery, and 13.5 brushless motor (tekin). What rollout is recommended for a fairly open and flowing medium sized & medium grip carpet track?

Gearing........on a 100 x 50 track with an lrp speedo (which has timing built in) I run a 5.0 fdr for a 13.5 and I ran a 4.44 for the 17.5

As much fun as it is to keep saying A-hole.......I almost always run the B-hole
I feel my car is a little faster using #1 instead of #2 camber holes.......so the only real answer I can give you is I like the feel of a longer link

Not really an easy answer for this.......it changes the roll resistance and camber gain throughout the suspension movement. It would really depend on the rest of the setup.

Barry,
The CV joint center is directly in line with the steering pivot, which on the
bench is as smooth as the losi lock to lock, I looked at using the losi ones but you would have to use the whole c-hub and steering knuckle. I really don't think you need them as it is very smooth even with a spool.

Thanks James, that's good to know. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a TC5. It seems everybody I see who has one runs good.
Did you brave the snow and run at Larry's tonight ?

No, I stayed at home, it was bad enough getting home. But I do have till Jan 5th off so I'm down for some time at the track which ever one has on road going on the most. Also need to find out if larry's is racing friday after xmas.
