Im sure their setups are not EXACTLY the same....for example...Im sure the geometry of the Juho/masters setup is sound for its application....but if you think that the grip level is higher than the Masters race, then maybe stiffen it a little....maybe stiffer shock springs or something....but major changes will probably just dial you out....

Hi everyone, I know some people are using the Team Bomber front belt, but is anyone using the rear belt from Team Bomber?

G'day Chris,

The Team Bomber belt (rear) does not fit. The front is slightly longer (more teeth) than the standard belt (it fits quite nicely).

Hi guys!

Well. I also drove at the International Speed Weekend and used nearly the same setup as Juho's from the lrp race.
But we used Much More Sweep tires which were a little different than the V-tec or CS-tires! They had much more grip.
All Associated's had the problem of flipping.

What really helps was useing the thick upper plate, not the ITF.. It works good.

And you have to check you twaek after every run. This is very important....

brandon is that your iic setup.... for a jack only track and jaco tires ?
Yes, that was what I used at IIC. That is speciafically for the Jaco tires. I did learn that all the practice I did before the race didn't apply to my car on JTG. Before the Jaco's were available I was practicing on RP30's with Paragon and the the set up I used on that combo was WAAYY different to make the car drive the same on race track.

PS- If anyone using Paragon and non Jaco's I can email set-up I used for that also.

Were those running the stock top deck also locking it down without the Orings in the 4 rear mounts?

Hey guys- I received quite a few PM's for set-up. Rather than typing it each time, I am going to scan a copy of the set-up sheet tonight and send one email including all addresses.

umm, can't remember off hand, it'll be on the sheet I send you. Belt was loosest setting F and R I know. Standard cams just dont remember if I was med high and med low, I changed that around few times, but the sheet has what I ended up with.

ITF top and bottom. Was using O rings at first on top deck but took them out as it had a hint of push. After removing the orings and getting the chassis to where it felt balanced to my liking, I controlled steering with amount of sauce, which was really noticable. If I sauced 3/4 it had little push, if I sauced whole Front tire it would tip and roll, so it was a fine line.

Am I missing something here? I couldn't fit a 36 tooth pinion in the car while running the stock 87 tooth spur gear. I had to go down to the 84 spur.

How are you fitting a 43 tooth pinion with a 100 tooth spur? Is that using 64 pitch?

I just got my TC5 2 weeks ago, getting back into the hobby. Of what I remember and of what all my old buds are doing is running 64 pitch. It is a pain in the ass to set up but it is much smoother. I haven't tried it yet myself but will be before the weekend. Of what I'm hearing is that you have to install the pinion gear after the motor is mounted. I've also heard that you have to put a small knotch in the top plate so your wrentch can tighten the pinion. Any of ya guys that have been running 64 pitch confirm this or is there a better way?
