Sticker shock, I never knew these motors cost about $400. Is there another option instead of the RB Concept?? Or is that the normal price for a new XB8 motor. Sorry all the questions, new to offroad and new to nitro.

Virtually any .21 sized engine will fit into the xb8. If your new to nitro and offroad, I would highly suggest getting a really cheap, yet reliable engine to start with such as the OS RG, OS VG, or possibly even an Ofna Hyper engine. YOu might even want to start with a cheaper, used buggy too. Running a 1/8 can get expensive, and if your new to it , might even necessitate the need for a 2nd job. I"ve seen too many new people dive into 1/8 nitro and not know how to tune or perform routine maintenance and end up destroying their $400 engines and $600 buggies.

Thanks for the advise, I've decided to get the OS RG motor to get my feet wet with Nitro and step up later.

Default Need info on Hop ups and ceramic ball bearings

Any recommendations on where to buy ceramic ball bearings for the Xb8? I'm also looking for a tuned pipe.

What hop ups should I buy for the XB8 TQ?????

The only hop-up the TQ needs are the v2 front caster bushings, they wont rotate on you. Besides that the car is awesome.

I like the Jammin JP2 pipe because of its amazing durability. Mabye not the most powerful, but at least I don't have to buy a new pipe every 3 months.

What parts? The XB8 and the TQ share most of their parts.

As far as parts, arms, shocks, screws and general spare parts. Would these be ok for the TQ???

I just got an original XB8 and when going through it I noticed that one of the screws (wood screw type) had been working its way out of the diff case in the front.

I bought a new diff case but I want to avoid this in the future.

Someone at my LHS mentioned that they heard somewhere that it was recommended to use a different type of screw.

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks
