Default My motor wont run.. any ideas?

Hi

I got a 8 Turn Ti. was running it in the finals and it just died on me. wasnt hot or anything.... press the accelerator nothing happens.

I inspect the motor, everything seems ok. give it a cut and still not working.

i run the motor on the motormaster and it works.

i then think maybe its my speedie. I install a Stock Monster to check if its the speedie. The monster motor runs fine...

So i am stumped, the motor seems to work and the ESC seems to work. any ideas.

Cheers

Yep, sounds like a bad brush. Install new brushes and springs and it will work again.

does sound like a hung brush first check your brush hoods to see if they are damaged second if you have the means to realign the hood then take them apart to inspect them and while they are apart slide a new brush back and forth and check to see if there are any spots where it may hang up if it seems real tight then dont bother trying to repair the hood just get a new one.
but one more thing to check is your comm size if you have cut your comm too small then you would be having the same prob that your having.
Good luck hope you get er figured out..

Open up the motor and clean the armature and cut the comm. Replace the brush if it's old. Sounds like the comm surface is dirty so it won't run.
