Tire Truer..whats YOUR preference
I've been offered a Hudy auto matic new at the lhs for $300. Still need the arbor so it's $330. It hit me then that Integy also makes an automatic for about $200 and it has a case with it. What do you guys think about it? Go with the Integy for the price or Hudy for the quality? It's for 8th onroad racing only btw and I wan't to go with something reliable and that will last and last.

Like Personal Transponder..........Tire Truer in general does hold its own value compare to engine or Rc car....so, a $300 Hudy Truer (is that the full automatic or the semi...? I believed I paid like $450 for my fully auto one with the fancy silver makeup case...) will hold its value, like you can probably get $200 back when you are selling it like couple years later...

3racing
I loved my AC Hudy but I am starting 1/8 and my Hudy only did 1/10 and 1/12.
I cost was to high for the Auto Hudy even the power Hudy was pretty spendy.
The 3racing is an exact clone of the auto hudy. Is it as nice? No but for $230 I could not pass. I kept my hudy arbors and carbide cutter from my old truer and the 3racing cuts great.
The only drawback is you will need to tighten the screws, thread lock ect........but this takes 20 min at best.
This unit is in the same price range as the integy ofna ect .........but a much higher quality truer. If you check out their website you can see that the basically just ripped off hudy's design.

I got my integy for $150 brand new shipped. Not even close to the 3racing price, and you can just use the hudy carbide on the integy just like any other tire truer can.
Your cut isnt going to be that much better in any event. Id just go with whats cheap. Hudy you pay a lot cause its good and the name means high dollar. Your not going to win a race cause you used a hudy tire truer vs an integy. Spend that extra money on a new radio or something.
There is no other reason for hudy product to be high dollar. Its not that much better or made out of platinum or anything. Just a name.

Um , no. Like I said above , you wont win a race just because you used a hudy. Your just paying for the name and you can use the hudy carbide on the integy to achieve the same cut quality.
Oh well you can only lead a horse to water. You can "write" that down.
