question: if i took an HPI saturn 20t/ansmann clash 21t silvercan and sandblasted it, would it pass for a stock silver can? or would someone spot something... because they seem to be OEM mabuchis or somethig similar.

well, i dunno bout sandblasting but when i posted about modifying my sport tuned.....( i rebuilt it and modified it) i got my ass bitten off by the guys on this forum coz i was cheating....even though i had no intention of racing it....only to actually prove ppl wrong that once u pull a sport tuned apart it cant be put bak 2getha without it being obvious......mine looked factory....but yea
anyways i dont know anything about sandblastin or anything alike.....i just thought i would let u know that u are bout 2 get r@ped!!

well, i don't race, i just want to know if it would pass as one. i doubt it would even need sandblasting, just the label peeled off.

Nope. Too easy to spot. I don't understand the logic. Why go thru all that trouble unless you're racing or just trying to impress with your fast silvercan

No thoughts on my?
Don’t think it's necessary to post on new thread.

Hey guys,
I am New to the forum, and greatly inexperienced in electric racing.
I just bought a Mini, I broke in the motor using the water method.
The thing is much faster in reverse then forward. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I assume this has been covered; a good link would be appreciated

its timing is out. have you been tweaking the stack? if so turn it back the other way. or put your motor on the other side of the car so it spins the shaft/belt the same way but the motor is going round the wrong way...

ok sounds like it came out of the factory faulty. are you running it in the car or on a battery pack/power supply? it could be your radio endpoints not set up properly.

as for turning the motor it's on a mini and it would be sticking out of the car if i fliped it.
I guess I will pick up another motor

mabuchi
Hi,
I believe mabuchi's are designed to be faster in reverse (clockwise) rotation. So maybe nothing wrong with your motor.
good luck.

i think they have 0deg timing so they are the same in forward and reverse. most electric drills run mabuchis. they run the same both ways.
