Centax bell pinion removal
Gents,
Any good advise on the centax bell pinion removal. The capricorn bell has 2 1.2mm holes on the bell housing. Is the only more or less safe way to remove the pinion to buy the tesla pinion removal tool? If so I'll be happy to buy one but I reckon there must be a simpler / cheaper way. I only need a method to "hold" the bell as the pinion removal is easily done with a piece of cloth and pliers.
Any hints?

You can always pus a pin or the shaft of a screwdriver through the holes of the bell. With a piece of cloth and a plier you can (un)screw the gears w/o damaging.
But such a toll is very handy.

do yourself a favour
Its with pinions always a bit tricky because it heats up and get real tight.
So do yourself a favour and buy a good tool. When pinion gets loose when driving the cost of a new engine is wayyyy higher.
Have fun

Does heating up the pinion help a bit?.. as the coefficient of expansion of alu is almost twice the value of steel in order to put less stress on the bell when unmounting.
