New Corally SP12X

Looking at the latest offering from Corally, doesn't it amaze you that some of the ideas and certainly some of the parts come from one of their cars from 20 years ago? The very first 12th car I had was a PK Corally SP12 (attached pic) and if you look carefully, the rear 'torque tube' design, the front steering blocks and the way that the front suspension works are near enough the same as on the new car. They even kept the same wheel design for all these years (US cars went from 2 hole rear wheels to 3 hole rear wheels a while ago). Looks very nice but how much flex will the chassisw have with all those holes in it? Cheers all, Chris.

Yeah, there obviously gonna be differances but its interesting to see how Corally chassis's have evolved rather than been re designed totally. One of the fastest guys in the country (UK) still uses a Corally with the damper syrup pod like the one in the picture, no side tubes on his car!

I would buy this when it comes out, since Corally really won me over with the RDX. Really nice looking car. I wonder how thick the chassis will be?

Too bad they don't have a oval version!

The axle housing(Glued to each pod as usual I guess) and a small CF brace under the T-bar... Think that's all...
