brushless motors will run under water, what you run into issues with is corrosion of the bearings and sensor board/ connectors.

if you still have the stock thunder tiger servo that needs to be water proof to, use a balloon and grease around the gear but will not last long, think about getting a water proof servo

It is the stock servo ibe run it in rain and snow before so im not too worried plus cheaper for a servo then a 4070 sensored motor

Since it seems this is more for bashing, I'd suggest possibly selling off the tekin and buying one of Castle's waterproof 1/8 motors. The Tekin motor should be fine in snow so long as the sensor wire is not being used which seems to be the case with that ESC. Definitely do not submerge it though.

i was thinking of buying a cheap goolrc motor off ebay to be honest and just swap escs and motors in winter and summer. i can run the tekin sensored with my speed passion silver arrow v2 esc witch is water resistant sure it wouldnt take much to finish water proofing it but for now im going to try the balloon method and order sugru since its not sold locally and do it how it shows. just pray i dont burn out my motor before it comes

edit:seems i cant share the link due to rctech's rules
