4wd Buggy Front and Rear Tires/Wheels
I just bought a b44.3 and I've never had a 4wd vehicle before. I'm trying to buy wheels and tires for it and I'm trying to figure out if the front and rear tires/wheels are the same when purchasing online. I know with my 2wd buggy the front and rear have a different width, aren't the front and rear the same width for 4wd? Can I buy a front 4wd tire/wheel and use it on the rear? and rear on the front?

Unfortunately no. The front and rear wheels of 4wd buggies are not the same width. A good example is the open cell foam used in said tires. A 4wd foam will fit perfectly into a rear tire, yet will have to be trimmed down to fit in a front tire. i think they are the same diameter and height, but width is different

4wd front tires are a little wider then 2wd tires. Back in the day we used to take 2 rear tires cut them down then glue them back together to make front tires.

Thanks for the input. Do guys use the same tread patterns on the fronts and rears? Or is there more involved in deciding tire tread for it?

Why are the rear wheels wider on a 4wd buggy?
Shouldnt they be the same width?

4wd TC's, 1/8th buggies and 4wd SC trucks do run symmetrically sized tires on all four corners. However, in the case of the 4w buggy, since the rules allow them to be different, it's optimal for them to be so. If the rears on a 4w buggy were as narrow as the fronts, you'd lose grip on acceleration. If the fronts were as wide as the rear, when turned, they would then would often float on top of rather than grab at the surface.
