Hello fellow MR-4TC owners,
I am in desperate search for a 1 of either 2 parts, they are
1)Yokomo blue Aluminum Battery Plate for MR-4TC
2)Yokomo SSG Battery plate for MR-4TC
If you have either part, please let me know. Thanks.
Ron

Ultimate Hobbies in Orange, CA has tons of older Yokomo parts, and they sell them at discount. Find out the part #s and give them a call.

Pop, you seem to be a Yokomo guru. Would it be worth it to upgrade my MR4TC Special with the SSG conversion kit? I've got a ton of spare parts for this thing already that I've been accumulating dirt cheap from close outs. Thing is, I also have a Yokomo DP coming on a chassis for chassis trade that I was thinking of upgrading instead. What do you think? I want to do some racing this winter over at the Team CRC track in Rome, NY.

If you try to race the ssg or Special, you are starting off with a considerable disadvantage. The BD and the SD are light years ahead of the older cars.

Hey Pops,
the DP is the drift package. If you dont know what that is...well then have you been living under a rock :P
Its the Fully plastic version of the MR-4TC SD

Pops, thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll spend my $120 on something else. I thought maybe upgrading the MR4TC Special with the SSG chassis would help it since it is a belt driven car. I was really tempted to buy the SSG upgrade kit from StormerHobbies. Maybe I'll just race it as is. It would be a good car to learn with.

MR4TC Special Carpet SetUp
Pops, that would be great if you could hook me up with a MR4TC Special carpet setup! The Team CRC Speedway in Rome, NY is carpet. If you have a setup with rubber, that would be even better. I bought a bunch of Yokomo rubber tires on close out. I have a set of soft, mediums and hard but I have no clue what kind of inserts to use with them. All I know is that the softer the insert, the more the gap. The more the gap, the better for tracks with alot of tight turns. What kind of rims should I use with them? I know I should be using aero dish wheels but what brand? Thanks!

I would like to know the difference between the MR4TC, MR4TC-BD and the MR4TC-SD.
Could anyone please tell me, generally how much a used MR4TC goes for these days. Here's a link to the pics.

I found this MR4TC on another forum. The owner doesn't know what it is as he recieved it in a trade and he is offering to sell it for $100 w/motor + reciever. Im not quite sure what it is either, but a few have told me that it is a MR4TC with a CF chassis and top plate.
