I have a special that I just cant get handling right. It was a mr4tc pro but I bought the conversion kit. I have only raced it once because it just handles like crap. It just seems like it always loose no matter what adjustment I make to it. I just wish I could get it handle like my xxxs. Im using sorex 28r's on my losi and yoke but the losi seems like it has 10 times more traction. Also Im not running on ways in either car.

New MR4 Yoke parts coming according to jap website:

1. rear 1 degree and 2 degrees hub for long camber links (so that you do not have to cut the existing hubs yourself to do the tosolini camber mods)

2. 4 degrees castor block

Masami was apparently experimenting/using these parts which won him the japan nats. looks like more and more tuning options are available for the car.

more tuning options=more choices to confuse the average racer?

Hi all MR4 fellows,

I am getting a used World (Hara) edition in this week. Local track here doesn't stock a lot of spares for Yokomo. I know my car comes with extra a-arms. What else do you guys suggest to stock for spare? How often do you replace the belts? Thanks.

There isn't much that breaks on them.

I change my belts at the start of each race season, but just as a precautionary measure.

At the most look at putting the following in your spares box.

Set of front & rear wishbones.
Set front hubs.
Set king pins.
Front & rear shock towers.
A couple of belts.

I have just put a set of Fastrax carbon fibre shock towers on mine. They should be even stronger than the factory graphite ones. Trouble is they are even lighter too, so this means I have to add even more ballast to stay within the weight limit of 1500 grams.

Man Ive never broken mine. The closest thing is a slightly bent blue cvd, but its aluminum., I want the hardened ones

Does fastrax make aftermarket parts for the yokomo? If so, what is ther web address? Any other companies out there like them for the yoke? Thanks.

You might also want to buy...
A set of front and rear low friction universals.
Diff outdrive set.
Front bulkhead cap.

Add these items to the other spares listed and that covers pretty much all I ever bent/snapped or wore out on my TC/PRO and SP cars.

I dont know if you seen it yet, but here's a pic of the YMP version fo the special, with all the silver stuff, new shocks and other stuff from the Special vr2.

If you look at the bottom of the page you'll also see yokomo's top of the line silver 1/10th pan car the Yrx-2002. Only 100000 yen (800 USD)

So is ymp a yokomo based product or an after market procued item? Will there ever be that car released in the US?

I know the v2 is suppose to be in the states soon but heard that is was on the silver car...

YMP is yokomo based, it means Yokomo Miracle Products. I think its something Masami and his dad do. I don't know when/ if the car will be availble in the US. I'm sure they'll import at least some of the parts.

Most of the YMP product are for Japan only.

For January, they will have the new front and rear bulkhead coming out for MR4-TC Special. The original is 2 degree skid angle, and they will release the 0 degree skid angle bulkhead.

For the YRX-2000 SSG, there are only three produced. That's why it cost 100,000 yen.

The YMP version of MR4-TC is around 70,000 yen, I think which also sold out.

I am still looking for a place/way to buy that YMP Special.

Was a conversion kit made for it, or just the kit as a whole?

If anybody can point me in the right direction or find one for me and get me a price quote with shipping, I'd appreciate it.

I have a small collection of Yokomo TCs going from the MR4TC series, so far a Pro, Worlds and Special, I really like the cars and would love to add that one to the shelf.

I saw that too. The way it was translated though, made it sound like there was a limit 3 per costumer (as if you'd really get someone who wanted to buy more than 3 $800 cars). That makes a little more since. I do wish, however, that yokomo would import some of the those kits to the US.
