Also received my orange bullit... Have a question tho. I noticed that there was a lot of timing on the motor, I am running the 17.5 boosted class and was wondering if I should turn the timing down on the motor and use the ESC to supply the timing or if I ahould leave the timing and adjust the ESC's timing?

Hey Bob.. Yes, For boosted take timming back to 0* and adjust speedo as needed. Usally start ReVtech motors 2 teeth less in gear and same setting as past on other motors. Look for race temps aprox 155* .

i am thinking about getting a new motor. i am running 17.5 blinky in t/c . i currently run a tekin...geared @ 46/84 with 170 deg. temps. and a d3 geared @ 47/84 with 160 degree temps. what benefits can i expect to see running a revtech, and furthermore, what benefit could i expect to see with a revtech from express vs a revtech purchased via my lhs. thanks for any input i appreciate the help as i have only been running tc for a few months...

Hey Tag just wanted to stop by and say a big thanks for my motors and batteries for the IIC! I didn't suffer from any power or speed issues all week and definitely had some quick cars once I got the gearing right. Unfortunately my driver and mechanic had issues (me and me)...driver couldn't get in a good run until the mains and the mechanic was out to lunch all week.

Hey Tag
I also wanted to say thanks for the power. Finally got gearing figured out also on the ReVtech. Drove it home to a 6th place finish in the blinky class.
P.S. Sorry I missed your call....at the time Tim and I were winning to big on the blackjack table.

Glad all worked out well. Hey we cant always do well as expected we all have those day. #1 rule is if ya had fun thats best result right there.
Missed call..LOL Yea thats because BJ table has a stripper pole..No wonder you didnt hear phone ring..U were in lala land!!!
James..Like Devin said..Track dependent 3.95-4.10 is common. Always start with less and add gear as needed. Rule of thumb is Revtech motors like 2-3 teeth less gear to start than other motors. Always make first runs short and check temps and adjust as needed.
