But why wouldnt you just get the older Mi5 parts to fit an Mi5??

As has been said, the only difference is the pin size - 1/8" on Mi5 and 2.5mm on Mi5 EVO.

You'll still want to file a flat spot on the Mi5 1/8" pin, just to make sure that the grub screw can hold it in place.

Yup, been putting the grub screw in Mi4/Mi5 caster blocks for a number of years. Just dremel a flat (of sorts!) on the pins. I'm sure this is a whole lead easier than trying to use the EVO bits.

So apart from being able to us small pinion gears do I get any other advantages from dropping from a fdr 3.05 running a 39t pinion and 66t sper down to a 29t pinion and a 44t sper with the same fdr?

I don't think I will but would u get it reving easier like getting a lightened flywheel on a real car ?

In my experiance with cycling the bigger cogs(more teeth) do last a lot longer.

Only Schumacher or RW Spurs fit, as they are designed for the bearing to fit in it.

I have some 64DP Spur gears for sale if anybody is interested, I have 2 x 114t and 2x106t, brand new in packets, I don't use 64dp so they no use to me, will sell as bulk or separate. If anybody is interested pm me.

Or alternitivly look here for what I have for sale.

Prefer UK buyers as its easier and cheaper on postage.

Thanks

Default looking for mi5 chassis

If anyone has a chassis they can part with, shoot me a pm. Some scrapes are Ok, just no chips or cracks. Thanks.
