Honestly...without an engineering degree and being in on those discussions you have no idea what they learned, and how they planned to take the B5m to the next level. You need to understand that the B5m was AE's first mid motor 2wd...so they are still learning themselves how to make it better.

In fact, rather than giving up on it, I wish AE would continue to evolve it also. Such as giving it the front end, shorter rear shock bodies / lower tower, and improved "C" and "D" inserts, cool new body, same as the B6D. Maybe it would drive even better (but give me 3mm trail pretty please). Won't happen, but hey I can dream...
I am with you. We have an outdoor track in tucson. If I ever make it down there, I would prefer a RM car. That being said, I would only race there maybe 1-2 times a year....so buying a separate car for that would be silly. A MM car can be tunes to be fast on outdoor tracks, but it is more work. If I wanted minimal effort or had very little time to tune, RM outdoors would be my go to. So i am sad to see the RM completely go away. That being said, they may keep the b5rm and port it over to the rtr. Who knows.

This is why I laugh at the FT car questions.....

The car comes with:

CF front and rear towers
Alum rear ball stud mount
Lightened Outdrives (B6D)
Alum front axles
Alum rear Hexes
Alum C mount (rear suspension)

They will never offer a car with every FT part, never never never never. But they are giving us a lot for a great price.

Should it be about losing money?

as long as people are will to pay $$$$ top dollar to pick up a few seconds
racing toy cars. companies will keep re-engineering about 5% of there lastest car
every 6 months to keep the junkies coming back for more.

funny thing is with most people it's not the cars not performing it's there need
of more skill driving it.

Default Reds Work Shop lay down trans

I am looking at a Reds Work Shop lay down trans that's for sale and I cant find any information on it. Has any one ran one or been around them and have any information or opinions about them. I am wanting to put it in a b5m for a local carpet track

I think the B5R is not going to get discontinued and will be the RTR and rear motor car like stated above for those super low grip tracks. B5m gone, now the B6.

I am going to keep my B5m and get the B6 and see what is faster for me.

I am going to use a few goodies from my B5M.
