Can anyone suggest a rollout for the Challenger 19T? We're getting these as handouts for the TCS Canada finals, just want to make sure I have the right pinion range..

It's on an MSX with 18/36T pulleys, outdoors, large but technical track, on Tamiya Rubber.

Would you suggest swapping out the stock springs with the other available type?

Thanks!

I don't know the circuit in question at all, but would suggest following for an outdoor track. Start practice at FDR 5,0, and watch the brushes and the temperature. You can probably go to 4,5 or lower, pending on the outside temperature and track layout.

Go for a can temperatur of 70C, and watch for discoloration of the brushes. The motor handles the heat pretty well, so for the finals you can probably go up a tooth, and change brushes.

Best,
Peter

Wow, that's a 39mm+ rollout, even more than the Checkpoints! I might need some larger pinions!

This may have been answered, apologies if it has.

Are Checkpoint brushes or springs interchangeable with those for the StockStar and Challenger?

I have never seen a checkpoint up close.

Kevin

Rick,

Any news on the new hard cased lipo saddle packs? When will they be available or does AE have them in stock now?

First shipment should be in 2-3 weeks. They along with the standard pack should be approved by ROAR for '09.

Why would you be interested in saddle packs? I know of no TC using one

Default 35C 5000 LiPo

Good news! Keven Hebert just won the Super Stock 13.5 class at Cleveland using Reedy's 35C 5000mAh LiPo battery!
