Intergalactic Electric Championships @ CRC Raceway July 27-28, 2013
Some of you might remember the CRC Intergalactic Short Course Championships from last year... Well this is that same event, except moved up a little earlier in the season and with a slight name tweak. With the popularity of the 1/8 E-Buggy class growing and the revival of Stadium Truck @ CRC, it made sense to not pigeonhole the event as "short course" centric.
Last year Team Soup showed a ton of support for this event with random awards thru the weekend (Read our coverage of last years event: http://www.rcsoup.com/2012/09/1st-an...t-crc-raceway/). This year we plan to show about the same level uniqueness that we brought to the event last year. It should be a stellar weekend for all that attend!
So, what’s going on at the event this year you ask?
Well as usual, it is being held at CRC Raceway in Rome, NY. (6785 Martin St, Rome, NY 13440 to be exact).
The date is July 27-28, 2013. Track is closed Friday the 26th.
Schedule:
Friday – Track CLOSED, Pit setup ok but NO driving
Saturday – Practice 8 AM – 1:00 PM
Sign-ups close at 1:00 on Saturday.
Driver’s meeting 1:15. 1st Qualifier 1:30 sharp.
Sunday Schedule announced Saturday night.
They will be running 4 Qualifiers using the Qual-Points system.
Classes:
Cost: $30 for first class, $20 for the second. $60 for “All You Can Race” (that means as many classes as you can handle)!
Sponsors currently include CowRC, Genesis R/C Products, R/C Speedshop, HRP, RC Driver, CRC, and us (RCSoup).
Tony’s Pizza will also be on hand once again offering awesome food track-side!

- 2WD Short Course Open
