Car Identification
Hello,
I obtained this car as part of an exchange I did 5 years ago. At that time I had nowhere to run it so I stored it and then completely forgot about it. Since I have relocated and stumbled upon the car again I wanted to see what could be done. As far as I can see there are no issues. I have 2 2s lipos on the way as well as a spare rx for an mxv.
Some questions I have:
What scale is it?
What brand is it?
Can I find parts for it?
Any info you guys can provide will help.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I haven't been on here in a long while.
Cheers
Sorry for the dusty pics, haven't cleaned it properly yet.
If more detail/pictures required, just ask!

Definitely not an Xray.

M-18 components on a Penguin chassis.
I own both an Xray M18 and M18pro.
This chassis is not the Xray chassis (it appears to be the Penguin chassis). You were able to find the penguin chassis at places like Stormer Hobbies up until at least about a year ago. Do a search you should at least be able to find some photos of the penguin chassis. The Xray M18pro stock chassis doesn't have the battery cut-outs like this one (the Penguin does).
Also another give-away is the front shock position, on the Xray the shocks meet much closer in at the bottom (near the lower chassis). -your are far apart.
The parts do appear to be Xray parts on a penguin chassis.
Not sure how this one handles, but the Xray M18pro is a great car, handles great when its dialed in. ...I still run mine, w/ foam tires and ball diff's front and rear it handles like its glued to the track.
Nice car!

I am curious about your shock springs, ...i only have the stock default ones. I didn't realize that various shock springs were available. I may have to investigate this as I'd like to try something softer than the stock ones (which are a bit too hard in my opinion).

Actually the Xray shocks mount to the top of the upper a-arm, not a shock tower like this one. Also, the XRay has an X on the top front diff case.
...yoru right the diff cases do have an "X" on the top. ..is that the same for both the M18 and "pro" ...did they both have X's on top? ...probably, but don't recall? --I only ask because the M18 had plastic diff gears whereas the "pro" had ball diffs (I get that they were swappable, but I could see Xray potentially branding them differently)?.
