Haha! Actually, that's Tommy's old TC6 under that Camaro. This is what my old Mi3.5 car looks like... HPI 190 mm NSX. You know it wouldn't be one of my cars without the stripes!
Lots of stuff going on at the moment, so I haven't committed to coming down this weekend just yet.

I dyed my white Solaris rims black. Yes, I know Solaris tires are available on black wheels, but I just happened to have these white ones. I acetoned the old touring car tires off and cleaned them up the best I could. I basically did the process above, but had to soak it for 30 min. Maybe my concentration of RIT to water wasn't as strong. Anyway, they turned out pretty nice. Spec Ride tires mounted!

I worked with the Gate in drawing up some local body rules for USGT (our club races only). We were trying to just zero them in a little more. As they are written there are a lot of bodies made that we probably wouldn't want to see in the class for realism sake. Basicly we excluded prototypes from any series, oval bodies truck or car, any VTA, T2 or WGT approved. This still leaves a ton of great looking lids and I think better defines the class. I think that they should be production car based also which would eliminate the prototypes but still allow the Mclarens and such. The class is growing and this will be a developmental and not always popular thing. Rule creation is always that way.

I think a VTA shell in USGT is a thing of beauty. Classic muscle, modern rims, and a big number meatball on the side. Yeah baby!!!
Seriously though if your local club wants it to look more realistic, I can see tightening the body rules a bit. But for many of us, USGT is the place to do all the things that you can't in VTA. It serves to protect VTA from unwanted meddling. Need more motor freedom? How about wheels or bodies? Maybe you just want to run that 5200mah Lipo. USGT is your class.

Some wheel questions:
If I'm using a 199mm body, do I want to get 0mm offset wheels? With a 200 mm body +3mm offset?
24mm and 26mm refer to wheel width, correct?
Are some wheels noted for being stronger and more durable? Or weak and likely to break?
Thanks in advance. I have a set of spec tires and now need a set of rims.

200mm body - yes +3 offset helps, another option is to get wider hexes (this can be a problem if there aren't as many threads to hold the nut on though).
correct, 24-26mm are the widths (sedan is a 24mm wide format).
rims - the ride rims work well and have proven to be pretty strong. I have a set of the tamiya wheels to try as well.

Mine fits perfectly on a TC6. I don't know why a TC4 would be an issue. I've got a TC3 at home I can sit it on. I'll look tonight.
