Tough Decision, trying to decide between two motors.
Okay, I havent seen much comparison between these two motors. Price is kinda a concern but I have budgeted to spend about $250 for my buggy.
Its down to these two motors.
Either the GO Tech 3 port standard.
Or the RB S3.
I have heard awesome things about the Go 3 port, but i have not heard much about the RB S3, I have been looking at the RB S5 for a long time but I would like to save about $50 if the S3 performs anything close to the Go engine. I like the RB engines I am kinda scared of the Go mainly because no one uses them in my area and they are kinda new.
I may end up buying the Go 3 with a RB S5 for a second motor but at this current time I can only get one.
Just kinda want some comparisons between the two 3 port motors.

I Go 3 port is closer in performance to a sportwerks .21. Im sure the RB is a good motor, But for the money I would go with a Go.
I have about 2 gallons on my 3 sport and it still has plenty of pinch and just flat out rips. Also, I haven't actually used a stop watch but the Go 3 with a 8mm reducer gets WAY better fuel economy than the sportwerks .21. I can usually go another 3 laps after they run out. and almost everyone I dice with runs a sportwerks with 7mm or smaller reducer.

the RB would far outlast a go-tech motor just becuase of the quality of materials RB uses. I have seen a worn out S5 go and its not a sleeper. if i were you i would dish out the extra coin and get a quality motor. Alot of times when you try to save money you end up buying products that give you a headache and end up costing more than if you just did it right the first time. You can get a quality motor for the $250 range just look around.

I love my Go Tech... great power... I highly recommend them...

What about Jammin/picco ? ever thought about em ? for buggy a P7 or JPX.21 will have WAY more then enuff...and should flat out smoke a Go 3 port.

I run dirt oval, and I run my Go 3 port against Rb's all day. This past week, there wer 8 rbs and a Go, and the RB's cant keep up. I only have 2 gallons on my GO, but im not ever buying a different motor

Definitely "GO" hands down. Why spend more money? The GO has plenty of power, easy to tune and great customer service.

Just got home from being at the track for about 9 hours... So today I picked up a 14 tooth clutch bell for my 8ight. For some reason the RR comes with a 13.
Running a 14 with the Go 3 port, I was actually pulling on a few cars down the back straight. Mainly a buddy I dice with often running the RTR Mach 427. My Go pulled his car fairly easy. As far as all of the sportwerks, there about dead even in top speed. There was another guy out earlier with a werks B3 who I ran into from behind on the back straight a few times.
People will say it again and again.. The go's are hands down the best bang for the buck.

I have a Go 3 port sport with a turbo button head on it. It has plenty of power. I am also running a Go 7 Port race and that thing flat out rips.
