Post newbie, and exhaust Q

hey, im new on the forum, but have been into RC nitro trucks for about 2 years, im 16 so, i don't know much.

Im running a TRX 2.5 in a custom chassis(aluminum) with a mix of blue anodized aluminium and plastic, as well as a custom exhaust..

i want to change the Exhaust so it's sounds deeper (like aftermarket exhaust on a car). Right now it's your typical high pitched sqeaul. is it even possible to make an exhaust like this? How couldm i go about doing this?

Thank you,
Xavier

its a two stroke you cant really get that deep rumble like out of a 4 poke but try some exhausts i guess but you are probably going to live with the sound

Pipes made from thicker aluminum will give a slightly lower pitched sound, but it will still have a very high pitch with that Small block you're mounting it to..

Is this a stock TRX pipe? If it is get the single chamber TRX pipe and if you don't race bore out the stinger.

no, i bought used with a cracked(didn't know till i washed with acetone) alum. exhaust, with that it's 1/4inch to 1inch(bore) to 1/4inch output... it's a shitty thing, but i got it all for like 100$ a year and a half ago..

if im following you the output is the stinger. I take the quarter inch is outer diameter? Sounds like a big block pipe.

The stinger is where the actual exhaust would come out at. You got a header, then the "pipe" and the stinger comes off of the pipe.

I would personally put the OG pipe back on it. Alot of science in tuned pipes and for one to just make one could really hurt performance.
