Yep, sounds like sure fun...

Its like the "build your own Robot" series last year.

I've been told, there'll be 48 issues.

First issue is $4.95, subsequent are $15.95...!

$15.95 x 48 + $4.95 = $770.55

(and we still say our LHSes charge too much??)

Wouldn't it end up cheaper if you go to a hobby store and buy a new car?

...also...

Does anyone know what model car it is?(Brand and Make)

I looked up the web site
www.deagostini.com.au/radiocontrolcar/

you are close the the mark

$4.95 + $14.95 * 44 = $662.75 ! (45 parts)

I won one of their cars in a raffle. Sold it new for $150, I think that was all it was worth.

I saw a kid at the mall today walking around proudly with issue #1. I just couldn't break his bubble - but also felt for the kid cause I'm sure he couldn't afford a car.

I mean think about it. kid asks mom or dad for $500 on a car and radio or for $4.95 for installment one of build it yrself and has the false illusion of makeing it through all the installments to build the thing. Let's see my 12 yr old gets $15 a week for allowance - if he were to spend it 48 weeks in a row to get that! BTW - he just bought his own X-Ray T1R for US$300!

Also look at the animation on building the kit - what a PIECE! the Chassis is a rectange with bolt on right and left tubs. Makes a Baseline Tamiya looks like a full on racer!

I think it is a horrible scam that doesn't do anything positive for our RC sport! Kinda makes me mad to see people rip off kids!
