So I'm guessing that there's no way to get that body to fit on a regular TA05R? What a shame because that thing is 100% sexy.

hopefully they'll have a conversion kit. looking at the IFS, you just need a new front gear box, the rocker arms and a new rear shocktower.

Got my IFS kit on the way. There are some hop ups coming out later in the month as well, Carbon rear shock tower, carbon re-inforced N parts (the new front brace), Aluminium rockers and rocker nut.

Will be interesting to see how it compares to the standard TA05. I guess for those that want a different rear suspension set up as well, they could always try and get hold of David Jun's rear suspension set.

Its a shame with the car of Mr MS thou. All that bling stuff and the special silver carbon parts etc and they go and make him put that horrible new lightly tuned motor in it. Tried one the other week against a sport tuned to compare for spec class racing and it was bad.

Should have my car build next week, but wont get a chance to try it much before the end of the month so it would be good to see what set ups people are getting for the front.

It seems that the hub carriers are not the only new parts, the wishbone, and front and rear uprights all have new IFS specific part numbers. So far I only have a pdf manual so its not easy to see how they are different. Maybe a few tweaks to get the linkage suspension to work properly, but then why the need for the rear uprights as well?

hmmm! probably can convert my tao5r by transferring all the good parts.

this may be a good off season project after the Nationals.

I love the cantilevered front end.

Should be pretty easy to convert. Get the 4 hop up parts, which should hopefully come with the fixings for the rocker nut, and you will bw sorted. Trick bit will be how the front damper and spring set up changes

if the the fulcrum ration is 1 to 1 the springs should be very close to the same. a handul of different springs would help for set up. or I could ask the tamiya crew guys.

Does anyone know the part numbers to convert the front end of my R to the IFS front set-up?
Also what is the difference between the standard rear shock tower and the IFS's rear shock tower?
Thanks in advance!
