You're only going to comfortably get 6 guys on a stand that's 12' long. I currently have the same issue with my 16' long stand. When 9 entries show up for a class we have to have 2 heats which extends the raceday. Just my $.02

Thumbs up

Yeah I ended up making the stand 6ft high and 4x16.... I built this whole thing by myself for me and some close friends but would like to hold some open practices.. tomorrow I'm putting the roof up with 4 floodlights for night time electric practise along with some speakers.

I'm not trying to make millions or anything... I built this track in my backyard because I wanted a place to practice the way I see offroad racing.. I'm very fortunate to be able to have this track out my window and I would like to share the hard work and money I've put into this track with other local racers that will appreciate another place to practice......

I assumed you were trying to draw in a larger crowd since you posted it here on rctech. What kind of timing system are you running?

Amb/mylaps system. Since I'm more familiar with it from the MX world and rc racing.

That's a lot of coin for a backyard practice track. Looks like you're off to a great start.

Maybe a good wide shot of the track when it's done will show something different, but it looks right now like you're trying to make it too hard. It may be your personal preference, but I can guess that you'll have a tough time drawing any kind of a serious crowd for racing.

Just my opinion of course.

Yeah I understand what your saying.... its really setup like a SX track... its very hard to have flow... you screw up on a double it fs you up almost the rest is the section... I like tracks being next to impossible it makes you stay way more on your feet... just cause its there doesn't mean you have to go for it every time... but if people start to show up to practice I'll probably tame it down quite a bit..... but for now I'm going balls out with it my way. Lol...
