Default Losi 8ight 3.0 e buggy help

Hi everyone .. I'am a complete noob here with some questions. I just bought the Losi 8ight 3.0 buggy kit and need to know all tools needed to build this buggy ? And the best motor, esc and servo that you guys suggest. So far I am thinking to get a Tekin 2200kv motor and a rx8 gen 2 esc, not sure on the servo yet. Plus what tires do you guys recommend for your typical outdoor dirt track ? And battery you use to race ?

Thanks in advance.
Jordan.

Hey guys, looking to get more on power steering mid corner to exit, running 10,10,3 diff oils with stock setup apart from moving the rear outer camber link in by one hole as per all the setup sheets suggest. What else can I do?. Move battery forward?, go down on the sway bar in the front from stock to 2,3 as per setup sheets as well?.

That would take some steering away no doubt as there will be less weight transfer?. Thats my understanding of anti-squat, the more A/S the more weight transfer to the front and vice versa for less A/S. Either way I'll give a try, cant hurt.

["Have you tried 5-7-3 for the diffs? or 5-10-3?"] << I will give the 7,10,3 a go, Most are running what I have been too (10,10,3).

I tried 7-10-3 before and it made my car push for indoors. I switched to 5-7-3 and solved my issues. I also ran the battery upfront.

Hey Ashkay, I think 7k in the centre works well with low KV motors, mines ballooning down the staright with 10K. Will give it a try nevertheless and see if I can catch you next time out. Thanks for the awesome race btw!.

Hi guys.... with the stock 43 tooth spur gear, what is a range of pinion gears I could try?

Running the Castle Sidewinder 8 combo kit. 2200 motor, 4s packs.

Will be bashing mostly, but may hit the local tracks for fun. I searched this post for answers, and found a few, but a lot of the pinion recommendations are for the 45 tooth spur gear, and ours came with the 43 tooth spur.

Thanks.

Thanks. Is there a range so I can tune it in how I like? So, say, a 13, 14, and 15 ?

The 13 won't mesh tight enough. I would stick with 14-15.

Would moving up to the 45 tooth spur give me more options?
