I just recently bought a z car ( ZMXB-8 1/8 Nitro Pro buggy ). Excellent car, very good quality and unusually low priced. This is due to the fact that its a new car on the market.
There is one major down side to this car, namely the only place you can get spare parts is online as many hobby stores do not stock parts for it....yet.
The RTR version is not the pro version as it lacks some of the aluminum upgrades that come standard on the pro version.
I bought the pro version then purchased the engine, radio and starter box separately. I absolutely love it. Handles like a dream and for me the best part was that I had to build it 100%. This kit is a good kit to learn on and it is built like a tank. Its good for bashing and if you want to race, it will be rather capable on the track.
If you want to know more check out this site: z-carstore.com
This e-store is top notch and I am extremely impressed with the service. The owner will help you out and not try to upsell you at all. There is a good forum here for the car with lots of help and advice.
Something to consider.
