I like your pliers, but I would have to remove them to measure length and that doesn't look like it would be very quick.

Yes, it does take 10 seconds to remove or install each screw.

Less effort than keeping the pliers squeezed during the whole time you are trying to thread the end on the shaft. Ask anyone that has 1/8 off road shocks, they are the most difficult to thread on even with pliers.

Hey can anyone running vta share a setup with me? I'm new to the Xray and would like a good starting point. I'm right at VTA weight (What a pita) but I'm not sure where to start. I've go the kit setup on it now but I'm wondering if there are any opinions on changes to make pre: practice. I'm coming from a TC5 that I had pretty dialed but after driving a friends T3 `12 I fell in love w/ the handling of this thing. Driving a Lamborshini vs. driving a cavalier on the autobahn.

Pliers are fine. What you also need is a wide rubber band. Put the rubber band on and give it a bit of tension so it's taut. Then pliers are good to go. This gives you great grip without scratching the shock shaft.

Anyone try the rsd linear springs or battery hold down system?

I have not try the linear springs yet, but I love the RSD Progressive springs. makes the car transition through the corners faster than the stock springs. As for the battery hold down... I probably can't live without it now! Makes my life so much easier. No more messing with tapes. it's a must have!

Thanks for the info I seem to drive better with linear springs. BTW that motor fan looks heavy duty

i also had the same problem with my shock pliers, too thick to get the shock ends on...

Hi all!

Just got my T4 and it's wonderful. However I noticed that when i run the car in air and turn the steering the front belt starts jumping around. I'm sure the steering arms aren't touching the belt. Any ideas anyone?

if you don't have ecs front driveshaft this is normal.
should only be doing at or near full lock on steering.

the std driveshafts bind a bit ecs stop this.

I noticed if i take the wheels off it does not do it, or not as much.

Might get the ECS drive shafts though they are a bit on the expensive side :P

depends on class you run.
i am running 21.5 blinky and another guy hasn't got ecs in his car and is just as quick.
would depend on layout as well tight track with full lock cnrs will make more difference. other brands like rsd / reflex and spec r are cheaper.
couple of pages back someone gave rsd a good rap.

I only found Yeah Racing ones on ebay. Think they're good or?
