As far as I know the data logging software is for the airplane esc only.

I just installed the most recent firmware from Castle (april 2011). When I tested the throttle the engine does nothing and only steering. Checked all the setting in the software, the battery, but no results.

So I installed the older Castle software and also the older firmware for de mamba max, but still no engine.

Do you guys have any idea?

Did you try to reprogram the throttle endpoints on the esc? Also make sure your throttle pattern is correct after you updated the esc. One time after updated mine it looked like an EKG strip instead of a linear line.

Default On the fence...

Hi everyone, I'm thinking about getting a MMP for a FT SC10, and I've got some electric noob questions (I'm an 8th scale nitro buggy/truggy guy).

Will the MMP play nicely with a Spektrum SR300 receiver that came with my DX3? I've read through the threads and noticed many people have problems with Spektrum stuff.

How about JR 9000 servos? I have both a 9000s and a 9000t, so I could use either.

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Default Bad luck with a new MMP

I pushed the sensor wire too hard on my MMP and broke the harness on Speedo and now i can run it only in sensorless mode.So i bought a new MMP speedo but from the first moment ,with the same motors and settings it runs slower than my old one.I recalibrate the transmitter with the new speedo,i also update it with the v3.40.0 and the latest firmware (so far i was using the 3.251 version with 1.26 firmware) but it still slower enough.I don't think the problem has to do with the software version.I checked the sensor cable, power cables, motor wires, connectors, everything.Something must going wrong with this speedo.I know how the MMP runs so before sending in,is there any idea what could be this problem?

Hi guys
My name is shamar and I live in barbados and I need some help tuning my mmp. I'm using a duo2 13.5 motor in a losi jrx s type r. We race in a fairly large car park wit low to med traction and it fast and flowin with a high speed sweaper. Most of the guy are using tekin esc n a few lrp esc. Hey is my setting on the mmp with the duo2 13.5 motor

Car- losi jrx s type r
Bec voltage- 5.5v
Throttle dead band- 0.0500
Start power- high
Cheat mode- 7000k-13200k @ 35%
Motor timing- 1 mark from stock
Forward power- 100%
Punch control- o%
Torque control- 5.5
Brake- 100%
Drag brake- 70%
Fdr- 5.00
Im using the latest software 1.32

I test the car outside my house n it felt great. The power came on gud n it was really smooth. I also change the thottle and brake to a curve and it giving gud brakes. I really love dis esc

it would help if we knew what turn motor you are running? and what size track as well as what surface it is. Thanks

nevermind, read the previous post, two or three posts above try maybe a 6.6 fdr and do everything else that luppi said above

go with the higher 5.8 ratio then, run your motor timing all the way down, set your start power at low and you could even work with your throttle curve some also to smooth out the feel and you wont spin as much, in this case the best throttle curve is a gradual concave curve. go with 11500 start rpm and whatever the highest end rpm for you cheat mode is, and use 30-40 degrees of cheat timing. Hope this helps, try it and get back. Thanks!

I would actually run the settings from the first list you posted, but change the torque control to 4.0, and take the punch control off. The reason the 2nd setup feels laggy is because of the punch control, along with the higher rom range. Things like punch control, or curve as suggested above, will only make the trigger feel more mushy, meaning you will just pull the trigger more, but still get the same result of wheelspin, etc. The torque control really does limit bottom end torque, so this is the adjustment you want to play around with to help you get off the line, out of corners etc.

Normally I will leave the curves linear, punch control on 0, and play with the torque control until I find the right feel for the track. You can also try spreading the RPM range out, which will help smooth out the timing as it comes in, say a range of 5-15k or so rpm.
