haven't stripped any gears since i bought the car. i run 12TBL with Life packs (which is a little bit faster than 17.5 blinky on lipo) and race every other Saturday with it. just make sure you shim properly. i also apply a thin coat of tamiya ceramic gears to the tb04's gears (including the diff's main gears)
I plan to buy just the normal cvd, with all suspension mounts in stock (upgraded to aluminium some Tamiya some Yeah racing). should I get 44mm cvd or 46mm cvd for the front only.
one replied 46mm. I saw tb-03 states 44mm (via google). but see no answer for tb-04. GPM CVD don't tell the length. I worried I buy cannot use.
thanks.

Why is it after I release throttle to turn.
Then throttle again there will be some sounds from the gears.
I believe I shim well. Is carbon gear boxes flex lesser.
I believe those uneven surfaces on the car parks wears out my gear. The car park surfaces is really rough. But it's the only place I have.

Were the steel gears more noisy or less noisy than the plastic ones when they were new?
