I never ran the bulkhead x brace on my 15 front or rear. I am building my 2016 and it's noted to install both front and rear. I'm just running stock 17.5 on high bite carpet (the new stuff) and wondering if it's appropriate to use both x braces (is it necessary, what do they actually do, stiffen for less flex?)

I'll be experimenting at the track but looking for experienced thoughts.

Run them, it will free the car up, and help the 17.5 with the all important corner speed.

I wouldn't worry too much about the bellcranks. The aluminium parts are better anyway. After using my 2016 it is hands down the best car I have ever driven.

so yeah you don't need fancy lightweight parts with this new car. I put Ti turnbuckles and top screws in as I had them already but that's all.

Beth.
Well, ours is 1.314g with alu chassis and Sorex 28 tires, direct mount servo, Muchmore 6000 lipo, LTC-R body.

It is incredible light for a race ready alu chassis car.

If it's open tire ?
Sorex 36R are pretty much the goto tire for those conditions
