I'm running an B5m now and I had that same problem with it pushing I went with 3-hole 1.4 tapered Pistons taper sid down, kyosho springs gold in the front and white in the rear. I turned the rear camber mount to where the -2 is up then put 2mm washer under the ball stud. Then I have the aluminum rear hubs and put 3mm washers under that ball stud. Make sure the front axles are moved back and the rear hubs in the middle.
Thanx sir I will try this..

Was your yokomo the Y-Max or the Laydown stock yokomo.
We both did the Laydown tranny and your right the stock yz2 will not traction roll.
Our track is not high bite. If it was we would run the Laydown tranny.
We have tried the SMC weight and change stuff still didn't work lap times wise vs the conversion like Lee Martin Y-Max.
When we go to a high bite track the good news is we can change to the Laydown tranny and be money.
Thanx for your input sir. Wonderful.
How do you feel about the shock rb6 shocks vs the yokomo?

The RB6 shocks are great but I don't think Yokomo is that far behind if at all. Here's my take, things get overly hyped and then others that have said item join in on the band wagon and it snowballs. It's really hard to find non-bias analysis nowadays for anything and especially in such a small niche market as RC cars. Kyosho springs are one of those things, they are good springs but for the money I have found stuff I like just as much for cheaper. Kyoshos shocks are excellent though. I know this isn't the answer you were looking for but it's really all subjective.
I have a heavily upgraded RB6, tons of money in this thing. It weighs just above legal limit and has everything you could ever want to have on it. it's much tougher to drive comparatively, and that's after tons of tweaking and testing to get it dialed. I've spent hours at the track practicing and making small changes to make this car run like I want it and overall it does but the box stock set up on the yokomo without doing anything extra is spanking the RB6 on high bite and it's not even close.
Put it this way, I got off work early one night and went to the track to put my electronics in the Yok. Track owner took one look at the car and said, "This is a good car, you can tell right away." Soon as we finished I put a battery in it that was on a storage charge () and took a few laps then passed my radio. He drove it and was amazed, now hes seriously thinking of carrying the parts and a couple kits! Charged up 2 more batteries and ran them, that was on wednesday. Raced yesterday, only 2nd time driving the car. Smoked my laps times with the RB6. Car works for my driving style, may not be the same for everybody else.
RB6 race results same track same night of racing for both cars
Yokomo YZ2 (non Ymax)
The proof is in the pudding..
Expert lap times on this track are mid 15's to low 16's

Lil ceez you are right laps times don't lie.
Good job.
Wonderful info sir.
The whole reason we got the yz2 bc we was told our track that just got built 7 months ago was going to be hard bite and it is not so we are adapting to the situation. If we get a high bite track yz2 stock is money.

I have been running the buggy on med-med/high bite clay and it is very easy to drive. Once I got a neutral setup on the buggy it felt a lot better. Now if i could drive better it would be unbeatable! I will say at this moment, I have been doing better with my YZ-2 than i ever did with the B5m.

Hey Guys,
I just took the plunge on this buggy. It should be delivered in a few days. I will be running it on a small indoor carpet/oz ite track with 14 second lap times. First has the arm problem been fixed? Has anyone tried boiling their arms?
Does anyone have a setup sheet for a similar track? https://youtu.be/WCly52_n-Ds
Are there any build tips for an experienced racer? Pitfalls to look out for?
Thanks in advance....

I haven't heard of any arm problems on the YZ-2, do you mean the YZ-4?

Turf setup?
Anyone have a good turf or carpet setup they are willing to share?

Gearing
What is a good starting point for gearing with a 17.5? Smaller track.

72/32 for most motors, if it's higher RPM not low torque maybe start with 30t pinion instead.
I don't have a full setup sheet filled out, is there something specific w/ setup or looking for the whole thing?
