Default air compressor question

looking at buying an air compressor but really would prefer to not spend too much on it.
will pretty much be using it to clean the off road cars and inflating vehicle tires.
would this be a fine option?

Id go with the craftsman simply because its oil lubricated. It is quieter for the most part, fills faster and in the long run if taken care of will outlast oil-less compressors.

Ya but the oiled are more of a pain. ive had the same oil less for 8 years now and it runs great. I like the husky cause it has more psi.

I have had bought the sears one was OK but only
lasted one season (I race year round) and my buddy
has had a husky #41214 for two years so I got one
and it works great. have had it all most a year so that
makes Franks like three years old and on a side note
the husky uses less amps at start up than the sears one
so it's easier on the gen. or at some tracks that don't have
the amps
and it's only 89.99 right now at homedepot

Oilless compressors blow... Noisy as can be, and take longer to pump up. the crapsman if yer feeling cheap. or...

http://www.amazon.com/Makita-MAC700-...9&sr=8-2-spell

and yes you get what you pay for. it has to be the quietest one for the size I ever used.

I have that Sears one for cleaning offroad. Its good. Just a couple months in ,all my oil leaked out of it-engine seized. Guy at Sears said he had heard of this before Sears just gave me a brand new one, no problem. So yay to Sears for customer service. I do wish it had more psi though-seems a tad weak, but does the job
