I just received the reinforced belt.

TamiyaUSA has a whole list of hop ups coming.. All the parts will be available in carbon reinforced plastic. Also carbon fibre front and rear shock towers are coming. There is also dirt tuned springs.. I'm assuming they are longer springs and softer

Nice work on the grill, I thought of doing the same. Even though the motor is up front, there is little air circulation.

Have you noticed that the covers for th esc and receiver act more like a vacuum than a dust cover. Lol everything i run the car in dirt, I open it up and there is dust in there. Im contemplated installing fans running in reverse to blow it all out

The following are my build Picts from last August

Here are before and after picts of motor mount last. I resolved the motor tabs different then dark Luna.

dremeled off about 2 mm

Here is how I had mounted my switch (now it's on top of servo)

Lancia Delta Body being prepped The DF03 version with pre-marked posts line perfectly up, no guess work

I have to say, the drive train on this car is really smooth! Nice to have a belt driven rallye car.

Initil set up the car as follows for now:

Front diff 5000 cs
Rear diff 1000 cs
Front dampers 50 weight, yellow spring (white with yellow mark)
rear dampers 35 weight, red springs
Front camber -1º
Front toe out 1º
Rear camber -2º
Rear toe: stock kit

Here are picts of my Lancia Delta Integrale with driver figures to boot. Note: front bumper was trimmed considerably to fit body.

I'm new to on-road stuff, and wondering what bodies fit this (and how to tell if a body fits). I really dig the Kyosho Lancia Stratos body, but $80 at AMain?

Any ideas of something similar from someone else?

The Kyosho stratos will not fit this car. Its a considerably larger scale car. Kyosho calls it 1/9 scale.

For a car like this... this is the stratos body that will fit

VERY nice looking car !
I'm looking to order an XV-01 pro, and if I do, for sure I'll get a lancia body, so good to remember these great times when Sainz and Auriol were putting it to the limits in the 90's !

Did the drivers stiff comes from Tamiya or is is from another brand?

Easy. The bodies that will fit are mostly 190mm width and 257mm wheel base.

You´re poking a lot holes up front! I would say its a good idea to poke a few holes on the rear windscreen too so to reduce the parachuting effect created by the increased flux of air inside, reducing you downforce and increasing your drag.

Would the HPI BMW M3 GT Touring Car Body (190mm) fit the XV-01? Is the wheelbase of the car (257mm) the same as touring cars?

And is the XV-01's 12mm hex the same as a typical touring car?

Thanks again for the help!

As stormrider said, pretty much any 190mm body with a 255-258 Wheelbase will fit. The one thing to look out for though is large bulging wheel arches. If it's not a perfect fit and you have to cut the arches in a different position then it might look silly. You shouldn't have that problem with the M3.
