`crank corrosion ??? c-6bbt
just got a used c6 bbt and i noticed some corrosion on the end of the crank(rod side) what is this? everything looks good,great comprsion,no leak down,motor looks good,have not ran it though. engine has maybe 1/2 gal though after brake-in

That corrosion is from the fuel nothing more. Just tear it down and give it a good light clean without damaging the surface. Just make sure you liberally apply after run oil before reassembling.

thanks. do u think it had been left for some time with out after-run in it?
