Heavy side springs actually offer less corner speed, with more stability
If you want the car to turn in hard, try less pre-load on side springs, 1 or 2 turns out from touching the pod plate will make the car very aggressive
Side springs just touching is a good baseline
Match roll damper to springs, heavier damping, slower roll, too heavy and inside wheel lift can occur
Read up on some 12th scale articles for more info on tuning a link car
And make sure the pod is built with no bind at all
To check this, remove motor and all upper pod sections
Lower pod plate with links should be free of any tension, just like a damper has to be free on it's pivot, same deal

Took my v2 out today for some practise with the new pit 571 and 575 combo for low grip as winter here.
Found i had good rear grip but it still under steers into corners compared to the foam tyres I have tryed(tamya soft rear, hard front) but has way more rear grip and wondering what I could try to get some more steering into the corner and get rid of the push?

Also, try softer side springs with no tension
Ride height 5mmF, 6mmR, raise it up more if the chassis is dragging over bumps
Lower if it's a smooth track
Adding rear droop should give the car more corner entry speed, at the expense of stability
Softer front springs, with at least 2mm droop should help
Just some basics for tuning...
I've yet to see rubber tires match corner speed of foam tires
That will be an uphill battle

571, 572 will take away some rear grip, could be a better balance for your track

If I don't run spacers under the upright do I run them above the arm or just leave them in the box and allow freeplay on the front end?

Pull upright towards upper a-arm, and tighten grub screw on upright, this will remove any freeplay between the upright and a-arm for a consistent setup
Use shims to adjust droop on the lower a-arm droop screws

Pull upright towards upper a-arm, and tighten grub screw on upright, this will remove any freeplay between the upright and a-arm for a consistent setup

Side links
What if any changes does it make if you space the side links up on the chassis or on the pod? Does it work to change rear grip like on a full size car ?

Hey guys, nearing completion of my V2. So for the 1mm hole in the damper cap, how far should I drill it? Halfway? Or completely the way thru?

Rear Pod hitting the set screws on the bottom deck
Are you guys having this issue too... it was pointed out to me this weekend... the side damper with the stock set up.. the 10mm set screws that hold the side screws on... hit the side damper. I dont have the shorter set screws yet... so i cant fix it on my car... I also noticed that the side "plastic" parts have a slight bow in them... i took the car apart, made sure i built it to the book and they flattend out, after a day or practice they are slightly warped again... i ordered the RM-01 side parts (2)sets and i am going to replace them when the parts come in...
Took your advice and went with silver front springs and the 2mm droop... I am mounting another new set of Pitz tomorrow, when i got my tires from TQ... i built 2 complete sets of med fronts and soft fronts and i might have labeled them wrong... so im just gonna build new ones... so there is no question....

for the side links I am switching to the AE RC12L5 ones and the AE pivot balls they go on.
