Hi.
What effect does the side springs have on handling? If you go soft to hard, what aspect of the car changes? Thanks.

I just found this conversion set for the RM-01, perhaps it could be intresting to being able to use the normal 1/12th wheels a lot longer.

Ran the car for the first time last night. Quick, but a bit of a handful as I was running kit springs for the report. Made some changes for next week and hopefully Part 3 will cover the changes from track testing.

Roll-over antenna
It seems to me like fewer people are using roll-over antennas. I'm putting together an RM-01X, my first 1/12 scale, and it does not come with a roll-over antenna. Would installing one of these antennas be beneficial to someone who is new to 1/12 scale such as myself? I have a couple pieces of 1/8 dia carbon fiber rod that fit in the antenna mount, but I'm not sure how long to make the roll-over antenna. Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Thanks for the tip Paul. I forgot to mention I'm in the US. Not the UK. I'll start with a 6 inch mast as you suggested and adjust the length if needed.
Has anyone tried putting a roll over mast on their RM-01? Is there a significant benefit to using one, or is it a matter of personal preference?

ROAR has a maximum roll mast length of 350mm.

Thank you terry.sc. I had not seen the ROAR maximum length. I did see where they require a 5/16" dia cap or ball on the end. Seems awful big to me. Since I don't plan on racing in a ROAR sanctioned event anytime soon. I'll just use a rubber antenna cap. I hear you on the weight issue. That's why I bought carbon rod instead of glass rod. Since I prefer the clean look of no mast, I'll try running without. If I have trouble keeping the car foam side down, at least I'll have a mast I can install.
